Phil McCabe was appointed as the FPB's Media and PR Officer in September 2007. He is an experienced journalist and has worked as a reporter on a number of local newspapers and magazines across the North West. He contributes articles to a variety of publications.
Before becoming a reporter and feature writer, Phil had a range of jobs in various industries, including cable puller, administration assistant and freelance tutor.
Phil was born on the Wirral. Several of his close relatives are self-employed and he also has a number of other family members and close friends who own and run their own businesses.
Phil received an MA in Politics and Media Studies from the University of Liverpool in 2001, and has a degree in English Literature from Newcastle University. He is interested in writing, literature and the arts, history and politics. He also enjoys watching various sports and occasionally plays some of them.
