| Spiralling costs, a lack of credit and having to comply with a raft of employment regulations are forcing some small businesses to consider laying off staff or cut working hours in order to survive the economic downturn, the FPB is warning. The FPB's legal advice line experienced a 68% increase in calls on employment in September.
